D.I.Y. Cucumber Mask

I love doing things like masks and treatments. It gives me a moment to treat myself and it makes my skin feel better. I use a clay mask one a week to help cleanse my skin cause oily skin is prone to clogged pores and such. This cucumber mask is a great clarifying mask with some healing properties. To make this mask you will need:
* 1 Tablespoon Non-fat Dry Milk
* 1 Egg White
* 1/2 Peeled Cucumber
* 1 Teaspoon Plain Yogurt
* 1 Teaspoon Mint
Put it all in a blender and blend it till it's smooth. You can either apply this with your hands or if you want to minimize the mess you can apply it with a foundation brush (the $1 from E.L.F. would work just fine). Put a slice of cucumber on each eye and relax for 20 minuets then wash off. I personally like to masks before I take a shower. I find they come off easier in the warm water and that way it's not a big deal if you get any in your hair. Now go treat your skin and relax!

D.I.Y. Lemon Sugar Scrub

One of my favorite ways to keep my skin soft is to use a good body scrub, and in this economy scrubs can be kind of expensive. What is a better way to beat this by making your own? The ingredients are very simple and very easy to get a hold of. To make this scrub you will need:

*1/2 Cup of Sugar (You could also use salt if you so desired)
*1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil (Extra Virgin is the best because it's the least processed)
*2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice

Just mix everything together in a bowl. You want a paste consistency. Rub all over the desired area for two or three minuets then rinse. I seriously recommend following with a really cream body lotion or body butter. That will lock in moisture and keep your skin softer longer. You could also use other things besides lemon juice like coconut oil. I hope you enjoy!

Formula 10.0.06 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser Review

I recently was in the market for a new face wash because the face wash I was using was too gentle to be affective in actually cleaning my face. I mean it took me three washes to get all the makeup off face using the other face wash. That's two washes too many. So I went to Walgreens to look for a new face wash and stumbled across this. I had never heard of it before let alone seen it in my Walgreens. However, I love to try new things so I put this in my basket ($9) and took it home with me. I could not be happier with it. It has a nice fresh scent. It's not over powering or too week. I feel like I'm giving my face a little treat every time I use this. The cleansing power is great as well. I do not have to use this a second or third time to get my make up off. Once is plenty. That was my biggest concern. I wear a fair amount of makeup out to karaoke every wednesday night and because I have a few drinks and the bar gets pretty crowded I tend to sweat a little bit. So when I get home I need a cleanser that will get all my makeup, sweat, and anything else that might have ended up on my face through out the night off. This cleanser does just that. The best part about this cleanser would have to be that face that it doesn't dry out your skin. Nothing is more unpleasant that finding a cleanser that works but dries out your skin. It's a little heart breaking. Skin care is a tricky thing of combining the right products to get the results you're looking for. Just changing one item in your skin care routine can set off your skin and make you breakout or even dry-out. I don't think I will ever have an issue while using this product. I don't recommend people with naturally dry to use this because it is a foaming face wash and foaming face washes tend to strip more oil from the skin.

Ulta Haul!

I just placed an order at Ulta. I do have an Ulta store but it's about an hour away and I don't go up that way very often. I ended up purchasing some skin care products. I bought an eye roller, a skin brightener, and a Vitamin E stick. First I'll talk about the eye roller. The kind I got was the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Brightening Eye Roller. If you read my Skin Routine then you know that I use the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Wipes and I love them! So when I saw the Yes to Blueberries Eye Roller I figured I would give it a try. I bought this product to help with the sever dark circles I have under my eye. I would like to go without makeup and look my age and not have people ask me who punched me in the face. The reviews about the product itself was good, however there were a few complaints about the ball getting stuck. I personally don't mind working with poor packaging to use a good product so I bought it. Obviously. The second thing I bought for my eyes and face in general is the Vitamin E Oil Stick by Reviva Labs. This pass fall/winter I had some serious issues with the skin around my eyes drying out and the only thing that really seemed to help was an old Vitamin E stick that I had, but it broke so I had to replace it. Last but not least is the Aging Dark Spot Corrector & Skin Brightener by Physicians Formula. I have dark spots on my face not from aging (I'm only 21) but from acne scarring and general discoloration. I've never used a
Physicians Formula product before so I have no clue how this one will work. I mainly bought this product due to price. It was $21.99 and certainly one of the cheaper products that are meant to help with dark spot. I'll give it a try and use it up either way, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is a product that will work me. I hate my dark spots and really want them gone, I don't care what product works as long as it does!
