Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation Review

I have seen this foundation is several, and I do mean SEVERAL, makeup videos on youtube. I was always curious about this foundation. I had never used it before and none of my friend who wear makeup have ever used this so I had no one to really ask for their opinion. However, I have since purchased and tested this product. The first thing I noticed about this foundation right off the bat was the smell. It's not a bad smell, but it does have a perfume-y smell to it. It just caught me off guard because I've never had a foundation that had a smell to it. So for you girls who have sensitive skin I would be cautious when using this cause some perfumes can upset sensitive skin. Application was a bit tricky. I love my Angled Foundation Brush from E.L.F., its my go to brush. However, with this foundation I found that using my hands was much more effective. So I use some hand sanitizer, to kill bacteria that might give my acne prone skin something else to flair up over, and just rub this in like I do my moisturizer or primer. As for coverage I find this to be a light to medium foundation. I prefer a full coverage foundation just because I do have a lot of blemishes and acne scars, but if I used my Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer I achieved the look I was going for. Because this is a liquid foundation I do recommend that you set this with a powder of your choice. If you want to give this foundation a try it's a very affordable product ranging from $6-8 dollars. Bare Minerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer Review

I don't know where my latest obsession with primers came from but I am obsessed. I recently bought a few things from Sephora and with that purchase I was able to get a few samples as you know. If you have never ordered online from Sephora before when you check out there is a selection of samples that you can choose from and you can pick up to three. Among those sample was the Bare Minerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer. I have never used any products by Bare Minerals. I'm sure that part of the reason is because I don't buy into all that "natural" makeup crap. I personally don't care if it's natural or not as long as it's not going to kill me. However, I think a good primer is something everyone should have no matter their budget or personal preference. Let's face it, your make up doesn't look right without a primer. Half way through the day it's running down your face and you just look like a hot train wreck. No one wants that. Invest in a primer, they make your makeup work for you. I tried this last night at work, which I think is the ultimate test. I am a nursing assistant and I work in a nursing home. This is a very hard job. You are one person responsible for anywhere from 10-13 people and you have to feed them, bathe them, dress them for bed, and put them in bed all in an 8 hour shift. As you can imagine you work up quite a sweat, so if I really want to test the limits of a makeup product I wear it to work. This passed with flying colors. I had no creasing what so ever, the color showed up brilliantly, and it was easy to blend into my lids. If you're one of those "all natural" girls and you're looking for and eyelid primer I would seriously recommend this.

Maybelline Define-A-Brow EyeBrow Pencil Review

I have been a huge fan of Maybelline's ExpertWear Eyebrow Pencil for years so I thought that this would be a good item to try. I couldn't have been more spot on if I had tried. It's got an eyebrow brush on one end and an eyebrow pencil that twists up at the other end. I personally don't need the eyebrow brush because my brows aren't that wild but it does come in handy from time to time. As for the actual pencil, I am in love. The tip is so small and it allows you to create hair like strokes. You also have great control over how much product is applied to your brows. I love that because I go back and forth between coloring my hair blonde and dark auburn and with this pencil you can control how dark or light your brows are. The staying power of these pencils is fantastic! I have very oily skin so I am far too familure with products just running off my face. Even without primer the product stays where I need it to. I personally love this product and I would most deffinately repurchase this.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio Review

After watching review videos about these trios I finally decided to give this drugstore brand a try. I was hesitant because when I hear Wet n Wild I automatically think cheap and useless. This is probably from my preteen days of using cheap makeup before I knew what I was really doing. Now when I think Wet n Wild I think cheap and underrated! I bought the trios Walking on Eggshells and Sweet as Candy. I bought them because they were more on the neutral side and you can't go wrong with neutral shadows. When I first swatched these the first thing I noticed was the great pigmentation. The payoff I got just from barely rubbing my bare finger over the colors was astounding, especially for a drug store brand. The colors blend beautifully. I haven't tried any of the more outrageous colors yet, but I'm dying to. These also have tremendous staying power. I have worn these with both my E.L.F. Eyelid Primer and my Too Face Shadow Insurance and have no problem with fading or creasing. These would be great gifts for makeup newbies since the colors are already labeled and come with directions on how to apply them. It also helps that they are very inexpensive. I say go out and by all of them (that's what I'm slowly doing!).
