Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review

Ever since my CoverGirl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation meltdown fiasco, I have really been paying attention to my foundation collection and how each individual product performs. Now over the years I had heard of Revlon ColorStay but I just never really had an interest in buying it and checking it out. Then one day I was out shopping with my mom and I just thought Why not?. I have to say, out of all the drugstore foundations I have ever worn this is buy far the best. I have the best coverage with this, it lasts the longest, and I don't get nearly as oily as I do with other foundations. I do have a small list of cons but they're nothing compared to the list of pros. My small list of cons consists of: lack of pump, the coffee smell, and the fact that it stains my makeup brushes so I have to use disposable sponges to apply it. Honestly, I don't mind the small list of cons because I just adore this foundation and the way it lasts through out the day. I can put this on and not have to worry about it. I don't have to worry about my oily skin that just hates me and loves to ruin a good makeup day. Today for example, I was wearing this foundation and took a bathroom break at work, before returning to the floor I checked my makeup in the mirror. I say that I was ever so slightly shinny so I decided I would go ahead and use one of my Clean and Clear Oil Blotting Sheets to clear up the oil. The amount of oil that was the sheet was not what I expected to see. My face looked far less oily than the sheet revealed I was, talk about a mattifying foundation. When I realized that it made my day :) So if you've been on the fence about trying this foundation because of the price or you don't believe all the hype, get off that fence! Go pick this up now! Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation Review

I recently bought this foundation at Walgreens. It was about $10. I did buy this in a shade too light for me, in Ivory, but that's because my correct shade, Classic Ivory, was out of stock and I don't have any patience. One of the first things I noticed about this foundation was the pump. I've never owned a foundation with a pump before so it was a nice little perk. There is also a way to control the amount of product that is pumped out, you just turn the pump according to the little picture on the pump itself. The foundation isn't runny or too thick. It's like the perfect consistency for a liquid foundation. As for coverage and blendability I have to say I'm very happy. I use three pumps total to cover my face and I use less concealer than I ever have before, which is a big deal for me cause I have acne scars and a few blemishes. I also have dark under eye circles but I've come to terms that I'm always going to need an industrial strength under eye concealer for them. I would label this foundation a medium to full coverage. I have noticed that I do get a little oily on my forehead and nose midway through the day. Nothing a little oil blotting paper can't take care of, but still inconvenient none the less. I've already recommended this to some girls I met in the cosmetic section of Target, I would also recommend this foundation to anyone who feels they go through their concealer more than any other product. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation Review

I have seen this foundation is several, and I do mean SEVERAL, makeup videos on youtube. I was always curious about this foundation. I had never used it before and none of my friend who wear makeup have ever used this so I had no one to really ask for their opinion. However, I have since purchased and tested this product. The first thing I noticed about this foundation right off the bat was the smell. It's not a bad smell, but it does have a perfume-y smell to it. It just caught me off guard because I've never had a foundation that had a smell to it. So for you girls who have sensitive skin I would be cautious when using this cause some perfumes can upset sensitive skin. Application was a bit tricky. I love my Angled Foundation Brush from E.L.F., its my go to brush. However, with this foundation I found that using my hands was much more effective. So I use some hand sanitizer, to kill bacteria that might give my acne prone skin something else to flair up over, and just rub this in like I do my moisturizer or primer. As for coverage I find this to be a light to medium foundation. I prefer a full coverage foundation just because I do have a lot of blemishes and acne scars, but if I used my Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer I achieved the look I was going for. Because this is a liquid foundation I do recommend that you set this with a powder of your choice. If you want to give this foundation a try it's a very affordable product ranging from $6-8 dollars. I hope this review was helpful for you. Be Fearless. Be Beautiful. Be You.
